How we prepare talent

Prepared before they reach you

Ability is rarely the shortage. Familiarity with workplace expectations is. We work on all three of these so candidates arrive closer to ready.

Academic background

Support through education and study, so candidates arrive with a foundation to build on rather than gaps to fill.

Professional skills

Resume and interview preparation, workplace communication and the practical readiness that hiring managers look for.

Cultural readiness

Understanding workplace norms and expectations in American organizations, which is often the difference between a capable candidate and a confident one.

Ways to engage

Four ways employers work with SHABELLE

These range from one hour of a staff member's time to deeper involvement. Most organizations start small and expand once they see how it works.

Career exposure sessions

A staff member speaks with a group about what their role involves, how they got there and what they look for. One hour changes what a room full of people understands about a field.

Mock interviews and resume review

Real interview practice with someone who hires, and feedback on a resume from someone who reads them. This is where preparation becomes concrete fastest.

Mentoring

Pairing an early-career person with someone further along in a similar field. Usually light-touch and occasional rather than a heavy ongoing commitment.

Advisory input

Telling us what employers in your sector actually need from new hires, so the preparation we deliver reflects the real market rather than our assumptions.

Start the conversation

You do not need a fully formed program to begin. Most partnerships start with one idea and one hour of someone's time, and grow from there.

Schools and colleges

The work that happens outside the counseling office

A school counselor's day is full. Transcripts, scheduling, crisis support, parent meetings. The college and career conversation is one part of a long list, and it is often the part that gets compressed when everything else is urgent.

SHABELLE delivers group workshops, family information sessions and transition programming alongside the counselors and advisors already supporting students. Your team stays in the lead on each student's plan.

About current partnerships

This page describes how organizations work with SHABELLE. It is not a list of existing corporate partners, and nothing here should be read as a claim that SHABELLE currently supplies candidates to, or is endorsed by, any named employer.

SHABELLE does not guarantee employment outcomes, and is not a staffing agency or recruiting firm. Employers make their own hiring decisions. What we provide is preparation and connection.
